Totally installs Andy Gregory as Vocare managing director

(ShareCast News) - Out-of-hospital healthcare services provider Totally announced on Monday that Andy Gregory has been appointed to the position of managing director at its wholly-owned urgent care subsidiary Vocare, effective immediately, in a non-board capacity.
The AIM-traded firm said Gregory was bringing with him a wealth of executive and strategic experience in the out-of-hospital healthcare sector, having had a career in the NHS spanning 26 years.

In his most recent role as chief executive of NHS Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group in Derbyshire, he specialised in leading large scale, complex business development programmes.

Prior to that, Gregory held a number of senior positions at NHS primary care trusts and strategic health authorities.

In his role at NHS Hardwick CCG, Totally said Gregory successfully introduced proposals to develop and integrate out of hospital services across the county, which led to a reduction in reliance on hospital beds and activity in secondary care settings.

It said he is an experienced manager with a proven track record, having achieved the third-highest staff engagement scores in the country across all NHS organisations in February 2017, at a time of unprecedented financial challenge and uncertainty.

Gregory's appointment was part of a succession plan agreed between Totally and Vocare's existing management, following the acquisition of Vocare in October.

John Harrison, the current chief executive officer of Vocare, will step away from the business with immediate effect, in order to concentrate on his new role within the Totally group, focusing on innovation and new routes to market for the enlarged group.

"Andy was our ideal candidate for this role, and we are delighted he has agreed to join us," said Totally CEO Wendy Lawrence.

"The combination of his previous experience, management style and NHS credentials will be an invaluable asset to Vocare as it looks to expand and establish itself as a leading provider of integrated urgent care in the UK.

"The board and I look forward to working closely with Andy and would also like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to John for all of his work at Vocare, and to welcome him into his new role within the group."
