Tremor International renews partnership with Alphonso

(Sharecast News) - Video advertising technology company Tremor International has renewed its partnership with television data and measurement provider Alphonso, it announced on Friday, to expand its exclusive automatic content recognition solution that enabled brands to reach television audiences more precisely and effectively across video devices.
The AIM-traded firm explained that Alphonso had been providing Tremor Video with television viewership data for the last four years, and had agreed to a two-year extension.

Tremor leveraged the data collected by Alphonso, whose viewership data reach included 15 million opted-in United States households, to allow its clients to target specific audiences in real-time based on their demographics and viewing habits.

That extended beyond traditional television screens, as advertising campaigns could also be delivered across mobile, laptop and tablet, allowing advertisers to enact cross-platform campaigns, thus maximising impact.

Coupled with the recently-combined RhythmOne offerings of 'YuMe' and 'RadiumOne', the board said the two-year extension with Alphonso reaffirmed Tremor Video's leadership position in the evolving television retargeting space, and reinforced its commitment to providing clients with unique, data-driven advanced television and video solutions.

Tremor Video now also offered exclusive display automatic content recognition solutions powered by Alphonso in the US and Canada, which it said allowed advertisers to activate "cross-platform strategies" and "comprehensive campaigns" that engaged consumers from initial awareness to final purchase.

It said Tremor Video also planned to enhance its offering for self-service clients in 2020.

"Video advertising is one of the fastest growing and important areas in digital advertising," Tremor Video chief executive officer Ofer Druker.

"Our progress in developing our ACR solution is a clear example of our commitment to ensuring our continued leadership position in the video-based television retargeting sector, which we have built over the last four years.

"Tremor's technology stack has grown hugely through the acquisition of RhythmOne, allowing us to widen our capabilities, including in television retargeting."

Druker said the company's growth in capability was reinforced by its partnership with Alphonso.

"The renewal of the partnership is an important step towards enhancing our leadership in television retargeting in the coming years."

At 1503 GMT, shares in Tremor International were up 0.83% at 151.75p.
