Carnival cancels all P&O sailings until early 2021

(Sharecast News) - Cruiseline operator Carnival revealed on Thursday that all P&O sailings had been cancelled until early 2021.
Carnival had previously cancelled all Caribbean cruises until the end of January 2021, with all cruises to and from Southampton now being binned through February.

Arcadia and Aurora departures had also already been cancelled through to the end of their spring world cruises.

P&O president Paul Ludlow said: "With evolving restrictions on travel from the UK, unfortunately, it is necessary to cancel these itineraries. These further cancellations vary according to ship as well as complexity and length of itineraries, advice and guidance regarding ports of call and current air availability for fly/cruises.

"We are continuing to monitor the overall situation closely and will certainly reintroduce cruises should the opportunity arise and it is feasible to do so."

Carnival highlighted that all guests with bookings on a cancelled cruise would be notified and automatically receive an enhanced 125% future cruise credit or a 100% refund.

As of 1300 BST, Carnival shares were down 3.19% at 995.20p.
