Small caps round-up: Oilex, Hardy Oil, Gas Turbine...

Date: Thursday 07 May 2009

LONDON (ShareCast) - Oilex fell after it said the Cambay-75 appraisal/development well has significant oil shows and high residual gas saturations, which are not commercially producible.

Hardy Oil sold 77,274 barrels in the three months to March down from 92,633 barrels this time last year. The average price realised was $44.31 per barrel down from $94.18.

Total capital expenditures amounted to $5.1m principally on the drilling of one development well on the PY-3 field and acquisition of seismic data on the company's D3 and Assam exploration blocks, Hardy said.

Cleantech company Gas Turbine Efficiency is to raise £7m through a placing of shares at 24p each. The number of shares to be placed represent about 28.7% of the enlarged issued share capital of the company.

The proceeds from the placing will be used for a variety of purposes, including geographic expansion in Europe and the Middle East, adaptation of the group’s products for new turbine customers, and acceleration of various development programmes for specific customers. Funds may also be used for bolt-on acquisitions.

Niger Uranium said an additional 12 bore holes have been drilled at its Henkries Central project, with 11 of these containing significant mineralisation.

Meanwhile, drilling results at the Henkries North exploration target have been described as ‘encouraging’.

Revenue visibility for the full year from contracted business and recurring revenue streams, now stands at £6m against total reported revenue for 2008 of £9.3m.

Property repair and maintenance firm Rok has said its first quarter was in line with expectations and it’s on course to meet forecasts for the full year.

“Secured and visible revenues for the current year are now in excess of 90% of consensus forecast revenue and in excess of 75% for 2010,” chairman, Stephen Pettit said.

Private equity group HG Capital Trust saw its net asset value at 30 April 2009 drop 3.5% to 897.2p per share from 929.4p at the end of 2008.

Max Petroleum rallied on news that Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has agreed to extend the exploration period of the licence by an additional two years until 12 January 2012.
